What is a YSA Gathering Place?

How is the YSA Gathering Place different than Institute or YSA Wards?

Who doesn’t love Venn diagrams? If you study these gears, you’ll see that all three groups are united in purpose: To serve the needs of the Young Single Adults and help support them in their journey towards Jesus Christ.

The Gathering Place is different in that it is also “geared” towards:

  • Serving the YSA that are enrolled in Institute but not in YSA Wards

  • Serving the YSA that belong to YSA Wards but not enrolled in Institute

  • Serving ALL Tucson YSA that aren’t part of YSA Wards or Institute

The purpose of a YSA Gathering Place is to create a sense of place and belonging for all YSA, extending beyond the reach and scope of the Institute and the YSA Wards.

This is done by providing various events, activities, classes, service projects and clubs that are run by YSA and advised by a senior missionary couple as YSA Gathering Place Directors. Most activities are held at Tucson’s Institute of Religion at the University of Arizona campus.
